The Kansas City Chiefs are going outside the box and outside the continent to land their newest offensive weapon for the 2024 season. The Chiefs needed a boost for their offense, which struggled during the regular season, before Patrick Mahomes will their way to a second consecutive Super Bowl.
The Chiefs added Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to their wide receiver arsenal in free agency. They are expected to take an offensive tackle or wide receiver early in the draft. The offseason roster should boast a rugby star after a recent report.
Per Jordan Schultz with Bleacher Report, Louis Rees-Zammit, a 23-year-old from Wales, is set to sign with the Chiefs. He had interest from the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Denver Broncos.

Per NBC Sports, Rees-Zammit left the rugby world in January to join the NFL’s international player pathway program:
“Rees-Zammit announced today that he is joining the NFL’s international player pathway program, which gives promising athletes training in American football with the involvement of NFL scouts. After the 10-week program, Rees-Zammit will be eligible for the 2024 NFL draft, and if he’s not drafted, he can sign as an undrafted free agent.”
Per Ari Meirov with the 33rd Team, Rees-Zammit is expected to be used as an “offensive weapon” for the Chiefs.
